Ryan I Need to be "Lochted" Up and Banned

PEOPLE QUIT SAYING HE EXAGGERATED OR WASN'T CANDID!! THE MAN BOLDLY LIED! Liar, Liar, Pants on fire. This isn't a not candid enough, over exaggeration, or a small white lie we are dealing with people. We are dealing with a bold faced, I thought I would be getting away with this lie.  373AF60A00000578-3742678-image-a-80_1471321972968The picture to the right is not an "over exaggeration". This is a full made up story made to make sure any facts of the real story were not to get out and the truth not to be told. 'The guy pulled out his gun, he cocked it, put it to my forehead and he said, 'Get down,' and I put my hands up, I was like 'whatever',' Lochte told Bush.

This is a full on example of white privilege and a person believing they can charge people of color to a crime that not only never occurred, but was also used as a cover up. A lie of this magnitude can't be told by everyone, especially by people of color. People of color don't have this opportunity. I don't have this opportunity. I certainly don't have the opportunity, that once my bold and obvious lie is found out for people to coddle me and say I wasn't being "candid" enough- but didn't lie. That I was just exaggerating. No!! Exaggerating is saying you got a 30 on the ACT when you actually got a 28. Lochte lying is saying you got a 30 when you actually got a 15. You are no where near the truth.

You can see the good ole' boys club go into effect and want to protect their own with their verbiage. They do not say he is lying. Because gosh forbid it is admitted he did. They say everything other than lying. If you haven't watch Al Roker destroy Billy Bush then take a look at this link: Billy Bush and Al Roker (the real hero) talk about Ryan Locate.  Billy Bush tried everything possible to say Lochte wasn't lying. Come on son!! People of color know what they can and cannot do in a foreign country, we do not have the luxury of the good ole' boys club to protect us.

Why would people of color take the chance of causing damage to a business, fighting a security guard, and then lying about it during the Olympics- only the most important athletic event in the world and while in a city KNOWN for their police corruption. Why would we? Oh that's right we wouldn't. We wouldn't because we understand we don't have that privilege. We would have been crucified. The things the media and people  would have said about us would have stolen our soul. They would have Mortal Kombated us... "FINISH HIM"

They would not have been nice, polite, tactful, or said:

RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL - AUGUST 9: Ryan Lochte of Team USA celebrates winning the gold medal during the medal ceremony of the men's 200m freestyle relay on day 4 of the Rio 2016 Olympic Games at Olympic Aquatics Stadium on August 9, 2016 in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. "I do not regret having apologized. No apologized from him or other athletes are needed. We have to understand that these kids came here to have fun. Let's give these kids a break. Sometimes you make decisions that you later regret. They had fun, they made a mistake, life goes on." - IOC spokesman Mario Andrada

Wait what???? You do understand that this is a grown a$$ man. This is not a man straight out of high school or college. This is not someone even still in the 25-29 age bracket. This is a man in his 30s. This is not a scared person. This is someone that knew exactly how to not only play the system, but also how to get out of it fast. He knew how bad the situation was going to get that he immediately left the country. He left before he could party, and we know he likes to party.

They would have said nothing of the sort. Why not? Because they would have been too busy demonizing us. They would have made sure to mention every stereotype possible used on people of color. Look at Gabby Douglas when she just didn't put her right hand over her heart. For something that simple they went after her, with no regard for her age and she is 20!!!! What would they have said about a person of color in their 30s getting caught in a law that wasn't just a fib in their hometown. This was a lie that got two countries and millions of people involved...

This situation reeks of privilege. A privilege that has the ability to be covered in excuses: he is rich, he is a celebrity, he didn't mean to do it, he was on his period, he didn't know the language, he, he he.... LIED!! It will be covered in as many excuses as possible. It will be covered in everything but the truth. The truth that we as a society have allowed white privilege to be used as the unconscious excuse. Of course we don't say out loud, "white people are better." But we show white privilege with our posts, comments, stereotypes, and excuses. A person of color has to live a perfect life because a small, tiny incident will destroy a person. Someone with white privilege can make up a lie while having destroyed property in a foreign country,  lied about it, and it is just a lesson they will regret. What???
The privilege that is given is the ability to think that you could do this, get away with it, and/or lie about it with no repercussions. People of color don't get this opportunity, this privilege. We don't get this literal "get out of jail card." We don't even get to think of doing this. This is a privilege given to the majority not the minority.
But wait.... Part II to the story.. The USOC is thinking about potentially banning him and his buddy from from swimming in the Olympics- take a little read of this story: Potential Banning of Ryan Lochte from Swimming in the Olympics... woooffff... Even though I am ice cold. I am not that ice cold. Do I think  the USOC should punish him? Yes, yes and more yes. But is a forever ban a little too much? Yes. In my opinion I think he should be suspended fro the 2020 Olympics which means he will be able to compete in 8 years. I think that is completely fair enough... Especially with the loss of endorsements!
Speaking about loss of endorsements which = loss of $$$$$!!! Yep! Those endorsements are jumping off that 3M spring board faster than a diver doing a few twist thingies in the air! They are gone!
Ralph Lauren- gone
Speedo- gone
Airweave- gone
Gentle Hair Removal- gone
The money is leaving this pool fast than even Ledecky! The companies can see that it wasn't a boy having fun or an exaggeration. They can see it for what it was. A lie that can ruin reputations and business. Lochte isn't worth that.
The moral of this story is don't do dumb stuff.... and if you do decide to do dumb stuff don't call and lie to your mom about it!
